Summer Competitions at Domaine des Forges
I was also privileged, to be asked to run our successful weekly competitions at the other Castels Site in the Vendee.  The 2010 results are as follows:
Total Number of Competitions:                    4     Ran in High Season Only
Total Number of Families participating:        20
Total Number of Fish caught:                      597
Average per competition:                           150
Records for 2010:   Top family and Top Individual:
                               Denes Senecal  75 fish 
                      2nd:  Daniel Cauchois 57 fish      
                                 
A View across the Lake
A reasonable sized lake which is having some additional works done this winter.
Species available
Some specimen carp, including mirrors and commons, together with Pike and Zander .
Also backed up with silver fish including Roach and Bream, both Common and Silver varieties.  The usual make weights of Perche de Soleil (Pumpkinseed), together with plenty of Poisson Chats!!!! 
There were also additional stockings of Bream, Roach, Carp & Zander, during the summer.
Next Season there will also be tackle hire available from May, together with bait sales & limited coaching by appointment. 
Situation
The Lake is available to fish for site residents only and has had plenty of work done this year.  The site is doubling the number of emplacements,but retains a certain intimacy and is very clean and well maintained.
