Coarse Angling
Started angling at age of 10 on the River Medway in Kent & other local lakes.
Built up an extensive knowledge of a variety of coarse angling methods, float, ledger, carp & predator angling, by fishing in the company of many experts in their field.
Regularly trying out new rigs & methods at our own lakes.
Favorite session would be using a centrepin reel & tackle & long trotting a slow river for Roach & Dace.
Sea Angling
Living about 100kms from the coast here in France means that opportunities are limited, although various sessions are planned. Whilst in the UK, living on the Sussex coast, I had several boats & was actively involved in the administration of two Sea Angling clubs. I built up a great knowledge of the local area & my Sea Angling Starter/Refresher courses were regularly written up in both the Angling & local press. Commencing these sessions in 2000, until we emigrated in 2002, around 250 students attended. All additional numbers to the Sport.
Fly Fishing/Fly Tying
This has been mainly on large reservoirs in the UK although I have now branched out to both Coarse Fly angling & Sea Fly angling.
I have also won many fly tying competitions, both in the UK & here in France. I retain my membership of the UK Fly Dressers Guild & Sussex Flydressers Guild
